What it is: A website (and blogs) dedicated to learning and attention issues.
Brain Benefits: The site offers great advice and resources on all types of learning struggles to help parents determine the best approaches to strengthening everything from attention, processing speed, motor skills, memory, social skills, reading skills, math skills, logic & reasoning and more.
What I love: This site bring together 15 nonprofits dedicated to learning struggles. It’s not promotional; it’s informational. Plus, you can personalize your resources based on your child’s issues (e.g., reading, writing, hyperactivity/impulsivity, spoken language, social skills) or condition (e.g., ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning issues, sensory processing issues)! In addition to countless articles, access to experts and tips, one of the best features of this site is the online community. There you can connect with other parents in your area, swap tips and advice and find others who share your experiences. Who doesn’t need to hear that their tween isn’t the only one going through a bratty phase? Or that you want to throw those fidget spinners out the window when you’re going 60 mph? Somehow, life is a bit easier when you know you’re not struggling alone.
What I would change: Virtually no information about the benefits of one-on-one brain training.
