What I love: I love how simple these games are. They’ve very easy to learn and I love that my kids will play these in the doctor’s waiting room rather than surf the web or watch YouTube videos. These remind me of the games that I grew up playing (offline) in the ‘70s, like the handheld sliding tiles game, as well as the early online video games of the ‘80s, like Tetris. It’s great that these games get progressively harder (or allow you to start at more difficult levels), ranging from Novice and Regular to Advance, Expert and Master. Some games are locked until you reach a certain rank, but that just serves as an incentive. There are also hints to help unblock obstacles if you get stuck, and unlike similar games on other apps, there’s no time limit.

What I’d change: If they weren’t required to financially support the free game, I’d get rid of the ads, or at least get rid of the ads for violent games. At the end of every round of every game is an ad for another game. It wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t market some of the more violent games. One that came up was for an assassin game, which seems pretty irrelevant (and off-target, no pun intended!) to these harmless kids’ brain games.
